Why didn't anyone tell me?"
Basically this is all ~doomsdayCanine's fault.
She kept talking about the Apocalypse and zombies and the like and I really can't resist the awesome outfits that can come out of doomsday settings....
This happened.
Since the drawing is rather shit, I shall explain:
Weapons: I think Merch would use a crossbow as his main weapon. It's lightweight, quick, and you basically never run out of ammo if you reuse the bolts you've already fired. Plus it allows him to snipe people from really high places and not get anywhere near the zombies and risk infection. He's also got a couple of knives (for stabbing or throwing) for closer range as well as a pistol, which he doesn't like using much since a) it's hard finding ammo and b) it's loud and draws more attention to him. He only uses the gun for dire situations and even then it has to be an extreme case of life or death. Also, I can't draw weapons and crossbows are a bitch to even try to draw so i gave up don't kill me.
Tools: Merch is a bit of a hoarder. Even in a zombie apocalypse, he'd bound to carry more than he probably needs. Which can either be good or bad. Probably the latter. Attached to his belt is a small cloth bag which can be used to carry money or small items of importance that he want to be able to keep a close eye on that he wouldn't be able to if it was in his satchel, which is mainly used for larger items such as food/medical equipment/etc.
Clothing: Okay, there wasn't much originality here. I'm guessing there isn't that much of a variety in apocalypse gear that isn't too baggy or heavy. So I went with a normal zip up hoodie and a pair of cargo pants. But not just any cargo pants, oh no. A pair of fucking awesome skinny jean cargo pants that look so freaking badass I seriously want to punch myself in the face because I don't have enough money to buy them ([link]). Oh, and he has a pair of combat boots, because they were made for walking and that's just what he'll do. Overall, all his skin is covered to limit bites and infection risk and his clothing is tight yet loose enough to be comfortable and allow flexibility and movement.
Accessories: His outfit, however badass it may seem, isn't just for looking awesome. It serves purpose. The bandana around his maw helps keep him from breathing in dust and keep his face at least partially hidden from the suns rays or other strangers. Like most apocalypse survivors, Merch does have his own pair of goggles since they actually are rather useful. They can block the sun or sand from your eyes as well as keep blood splattered from meleeing zombies from getting in your eyes and rendering you blind. Normally, they are worn around his neck along with the bandana since they do block his peripheral vision when worn. The tattered cloth around his left leg doesn't really serve a purpose. That's just for pure badass fashion.
